Ding Jie is a Chinese footballer who currently operates as a midfielder for Liaoning Whowin. He was born on April 29, 1987 in Dalian, China.
Ding Jie began his academy scholarship with Dalian Yiteng. Soon he was acquired by Liaoning Whowin. After starring for the academy, the midfielder was offered a full-time contract. He made his first start for the club on September 4, 2005 in the league clash against Beijing Guoan. The classy player marked the occasion with a goal, helping Liaoning Whowin to a 3-2 win. But it was not until the 2007 campaign that Ding Jie became a permanent fixture on the teamsheet. Although the club slipped into the second tier in 2008, the committed midfielder decided against leaving the team. He made a great contribution to his side’s return to the Chinese Super League in 2009.
