Dirk Kuyt is a striker at Fenerbahçe SK. He was born on July 22, 1980 in Katwijk aan Zee, the Netherlands.
In 1985 Dirk joined the football academy of Quick Boys club, where he trained and took part in matches of youth tournaments. The young footballer stayed at the club youth squad for 13 years, till 1998.
In 1998 Dirk Kuyt was offered a professional contract with Utrecht FC. The offer was accepted and the striker started featuring for the club as one of the key regular players. The striker participated in 160 games and stabbed 51 goals for Utrecht FC.
In 2003 Dirk Kuyt left Utrecht FC for Feyenoord and stayed at the Rotterdam club till 2006. Over those three years the footballer showed impressive results, he was a real scorer, a scoring machine. He made 71 goals in 101 matches he played for Feyenoord.
The year of 2006 was very remarkable for Dirk: he was transferred to Liverpool FC (England), the club fighting for the first place in the English Premier League. Over the six years Dirk Kuyt took part in 203 games and made 51 shots for the club.
In the summer of 2012 Dirk Kuyt signed a contract with Fenerbahçe SK (Turkey). He has scored a number of goals for the club.
Dirk Kuyt started playing for the Netherlands National Football Team in 2004.
