Dmitri Kharine is a Russian retired goalkeeper born on 16 August 1968 in Moscow.
During the first decade of his playing career, in between 1982 and 1992, Dmitri played for such Russian top-flight clubs as Torpedo Moscow, Dynamo Moscow and CSKA Moscow. In 1992, he moved to the English Premier League club Chelsea where he enjoyed the best time of his career. Overall, Kharine made 146 appearances in all competitions of the team during a seven-year stint. In 1999, the goalkeeper signed for Scottish club Celtic and then moved to non-League club Hornchurch where he ended up his playing career in 2004. It’s a tidbit that at the international level Dmitri Kharine earned caps to the USSR, CIS and the Russia national teams.
