Dmitri Khomich is a goalkeeper for Alania Vladikavkaz. He was born on 4 October 1984 in Vladikavkaz, Russia.
Dmitri began his youth career at FC Yunost Vladikavkaz, and after that he moved to the football academy of FC Spartak Vladikavkaz. At the age of 15, Khomich debuted in the Russian Division 2 for FC Mozdok. In 2001 the footballer joined Alania Vladikavkaz and played for their reserve team for two seasons. On 16 August 2003 Khomich made his first Russian Premier League appearance for the first team of Alania against FC Krylia Sovetov, coming on as an 18th minute substitute for seriously injured Ilya Bliznyuk.
In 2005 Khomich transferred to FC Spartak Moscow. For three years of performance for Spartak Khomich made only 11 appearances (4 of them in the Premier League), constantly being eclipsed by such experienced goalkeepers as Stipe Pletikosa and Wojciech Kowalewski. In March 2008 he was sent out on loan to FC Spartak Nalchik, but after the 2008/09 season returned to the Moscow club. In February 2010 Khomich returned to his former club Alania Vladikavkaz to become the first-choice goalkeeper.
In the 2010/11 season the goalkeeper reached the finals of the Russian Cup with FC Alania Vladikavkaz.
From 2002 to 2004 Dmitri Khomich played 9 matches for Russia U-21.
