Dmitri Kirichenko, a Russian striker, was born on 17 January 1977 in Novoalexandrovsk, Stavropol region.
Dmitri’s first club was Lokomotiv Mineralnye Vody, where he played 24 games, not getting on the scoresheet. The following season Kirichenko joined Iskra Novoaleksandrovsk, but he only revealed his true shooter talent while performing for Taganrog Torpedo. In his rookie season, he scored 7 goals, and a year later - 32 goals. Such results could not remain unobserved. In 1998, the striker moved to Rostselmash.
In 2000, Dmitri surprised everyone by scoring 14 goals and in 2001 – 13 goals.
In 2002, playing for CSKA Moscow Kirichenko scored three times in the very first round against Torpedo-ZIL. He set a record that season scoring 15 goals. In 2003, the footballer netted 5 goals and became the champion. In 2004, Dmitri put it in the back of the net 9 times. The goal he scored against Greece was recognized as the fastest one in the history of the European Championships.
In 2005, Kirichenko moved to FC Moscow, for which he scored 26 goals during two championships.
Before the 2006/2007 season, he joined FC Saturn, where in September 2009, he performed his 300th match in the top division. By that time, Kirichenko hit the opponent’s goal 111 times.
In 2011, Kirichenko signed a deal with FC Rostov for 2 years and a half.
Since 2013 the player has represented Mordovia Saransk.
