Dmitry Aydov is a Russian defender born on 10 April 1982.
Aydov started his professional football career in 2001, when he joined FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod, which competed in the Russian third division then. He made a total of 212 appearances for the club during his nine-year stint there. In the 2010 season Aydov failed to get regular first-team football earning just one first-team start and was soon loaned to FC Nizhny Novgorod, where he scored two goals in 9 appearances before the end of the season. Later he signed a full-time contract with his new club and scored 10 goals in 31 matches for the club helping them to finish third in the 2011/12 Russian First Division.
In the summer of 2012 the two clubs merged into FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod and broke into the Russian Premier League where Dmitry Aydov plays together with the team till today.
