Dominik Kohr was born on 31 January 1994 in Trier. He is a German footballer who currently plays for Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Dominik is the son of Harald Kohr, who is a German football coach and an ex-player. The footballer performs at the position of a defensive midfielder, though he began his career at attacking positions.
When a child, Kohr joined TuS Issel, but moved to Bayer 04 in 2008 and decided to link his destiny to the Leverkusen side club at the age of 14. In September 2011 Dominik showed a promising performance and rose up the club ladder, after which he found himself at the main team’s training ground in January 2012. On 21 April the same year, Kohr made a sub appearance in the match against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, which helped him to clinch the place in senior football. Later he took part in another game, but that was not very essential. Thereby, Dominik has not got on the professional scoresheet yet.
Kohr made his international début as a player of the Germany U-18 squad. In December 2011 he got to the starting line-up of the youth team in three matches of the Four Nations Tournament in Petah Tikva. Dominik made six appearances for the national youth squad, but has not scored yet.
