Dominik Reinhardt was born on 19 December 1984 in Leverkusen, Germany. He is the son of the former German midfielder Alois Reinhardt.
Initially Dominik learned to play football in the former father’s club Bayer Leverkusen. Then the player moved to a top-flight club FC Bayern Munich in 1991 where he played for three years. But soon he joined a less famous team TSV Hoechstadt and stayed there for five years. In 1999 Reinhardt moved to FC Nuremberg, where he shortly became a key player. All in all, he played 121 matches and made a lot of assists for the team. On 26 May 2007, Dominik won the DFB-Pokal trophy together with his club.
Nevertheless, in 2009, the player was sent on loan to Augsburg after eight-year spell at Nuremberg. On 8 May, Dominik Reinhardt became a regular player; the transfer was completed having the value of 400,000 euros. The contract was signed till 2013.
Dominik Reinhardt was a player of the German youth team. He was first called up to the U-20, where he appeared in two matches. In 2006 the footballer performed for the U-21.
