Don Cowie is a midfielder, born on 15 February 1983 in Inverness, Scotland.
In 2000, Don penned his first senior contract with Ross County and officially became a player of the club. It took the footballer several seasons to adapt to the new atmosphere, but he managed to come on the pitch a number of times, which helped him to gain the head coach’s confidence. In 2003, Cowie clinched a regular place in the main squad and took his tally to 17 goals in 160 fixtures during seven years.
In 2007, the midfielder completed a move to Inverness CT and cemented a regular spot almost at once, which gave him an opportunity to feature in 59 matches and net 12 goals for the team during two seasons.
In 2009, Don transferred to Watford, where he fired nine goals in 88 games during two years. In the summer 2011, Welsh side Cardiff City secured the footballer’s services and saw him score nine goals in 94 fixtures during three seasons. In the summer 2014 Cowie moved to Wigan Athletic.
From 2009, Cowie has been capped ten times for the Scotland national squad.
