A Brazilian footballer Severino dos Ramos Durval da Silva acts as a defender for Santos. Severino was born on 11 July 1980.
In 1999, Durval graduated from the academy of Confiança de Sapé-PB and signed a pro contract with Unibol-PB. In 2002, the footballer grabbed a contract with Botafogo. Together with the team, he won the 2003 Campeonato Paraibano. The foolowing year, Severino had a brief spell at Brasiliense. Despite the short period of time spent with the club, the defender managed to feature in a winning match of the 2004 Campeonato Brasiliense.
In 2004, a transfer to Atlético-PR happened. Durval made 15 appearances for the club winning the 2005 Campeonato Paranaense. In 2006, the footballer became the member of Sport, where he remained until the end of 2009. The spell with the club proved to be very profitable for the player. Not only had he turned into the team’s regular appearing 98 times but also gained numerous honors. Durval won the Campeonato Pernambucano under the flag of Sport four times (2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009). He also became the holder of the 2008 Copa do Brasil.
Santos FC took an interest in the Brazilian defender and offered him a tempting contract. In 2010, after the contract had been penned, Durval became the club’s official player. His debut season was lined with gaining a victory at the 2010 Campeonato Paulista and the 2010 Copa do Brasil. The defender’s further performance for the squad was awarded with two more victories at the Campeonato Paulista (in 2011 and 2012). He also won the 2011 Copa Libertadores and the 2012 Recopa Sudamericana. Durval became the team’s anchor player appearing more than 130 times and netting three goals. He’s expected to bring further victories to his club.
