Ederson Honorato Campos is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Italian club Lazio in Serie A.
Ederson began his football grooming in the Brazilian club of meager resources RS Futebol. In 2004, he joined top-flight side Juventude where he earned a call-up to the Brazil U-17 national team.
The next season, Ederson moved to Europe to join French club OGC Nice. In just his third game with the club he became a barn burner scoring a terrific winning goal against AS Monaco with a fierce shot from almost 45 meters. Though predominantly used as a substitute, Ederso’s winning penalty against Marseille and a splendid brace against Bordeaux served the good turn for a player as he sparked interest of the football heavyweights such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and others.
In 2008, Brazilian footballer moved to Olympique Lyonnais for a transfer fee of €14 million. During a four-year stint at the club, Ederson became a fantastic asset for the club. He featured in all eight UEFA Champions League games in the 2009/10 season and amassed 82 Ligue 1 matches for the team.
In July 2012, Ederson joined Lazio on a five-year deal.
