Egor Filipenko is a defender for BATE Borisov. He was born on 10 April 1988 in Minsk, Belarus.
Egor made his first steps in football at Smena Minsk. His first coach was Leonid Dayneko. The defender’s professional career started at BATE Borisov in 2005, where he played for the doubles. In 2006 Egor featured in his first national championship match. In 2007 he earned the right to play for BATE’s first team. By the end of the same season Filipenko was among the 22 best players in the Belarusian Premier League.
In October 2007 Filipenko left for Spartak Moscow. His debut for the Red-Whites was in a match of the First Channel Cup. In the first half of the 2009/10 season Egor played on loan for Tom Tomsk. Back at Spartak he netted 1 goal in 5 appearances. In 2010 Egor was sent out on loan to Sibir Novosibirsk.
In February 2011 Filipenko returned to BATE as a loaned player. A year later Spartak and BATE managed to agree on the transfer terms, and the latter signed the defender on a permanent basis.
Egor Filipenko is a bronze medalist of 2011 European Youth Championship. At the tournament, which took place in Denmark, the defender scored a goal in the match for the third place, and thus not only brought his team medal, but also enabled the Belarusian team to play at the Olympics.
From 2004 to 2011 Egor played for Belarus U-17, U-19 and U-21. Since 2007 Egor Filipenko represents the national team of Belarus.
