After the end of the season, Grandin sealed a deal with English side Blackpool, where he made 30 appearances and kicked three goals before being sent on loan to Nice. The midfielder took part in 12 games for the temporary team and returned to his parent ‘Seasiders’, which saw him make a total of 42 appearances fot the side.
In the summer 2013 Grandin was offered a season with Crystal Palace, recently promoted to the Premier League. However, next January he returned to Blackpool.
In 2008, Elliot was capped three times and contributed one goal for the France national U-21 squad.
