Emrah was born in Istanbul, Turkey. In 1990, he started training at the youth football team of Gaziosmanpasaspor club. Then in 1993, the young footballer made a move to İstanbulspor, where his professional career began.
In 1995, Emrah signed a professional contract with his home club. From 1995 to 2006 he also played for such clubs as Kartal SK, Adanaspor, Galatasaray, İstanbulspor, Gaziantepspor, Kocaelispor, Trabzonspor, Malatyaspor. In 2006 he moved to Caykur Rizespor to become a key player for two seasons. Later he had spells with Gaziantepspor, Giresunspor, Konyaspor and Denizlispor.
The footballer has been playing for Akhisar Belediyespor since 2011. His contract runs until May 31, 2013. Emrah plays as a defender and is trusted the captain’s armband. He made his first appearance for the club on September 10, 2011 in the match against İstanbul Güngörenspor.
Emrah Eren was invited to play for the Turkey U-21 national football team.
