Éric Bauthéac is a midfielder who represents OGC Nice. He was born on August 24, 1987 in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, France.
Éric launched his junior career in 1995. He played with the youngsters of Bagnols Pont and trained at club’s football academy. In 2000 Éric was noticed by Saint-Étienne. The young player consulted his family and joined the club.
In 2007 Éric started his senior career, when Cannes offered him a professional contract, which provided him with an opportunity to play for the first team. It was vital for Éric to sign for Cannes and be promoted to the senior squad. In 2007 he began playing for the club as a professional footballer. The head coach often inserted the young midfielder into the starting eleven. Éric pushed hard to prove everybody that he deserved to be a first-choice midfielder. During the 2007/2010 seasons he made 77 appearances and netted 15 goals.
In 2010 Dijon signed Bauthéac to a two-year contract. Éric took part in 51 matches and created 9 goals before moving to OGC Nice in the summer of 2012. On 15 September 2012 he scored his debut goal for Nice in the match against Brest.
