Etiënne Reijnen is a defender of AZ. He was born on 5 April 1987 in Zwolle, Netherlands.
Reijnen’s career took off in local amateur Rohda Raalte, WVF and the youth team of professional Vitesse.
In the 2005/2006 season, the young player moved to Zwolle and joined the main team of the club. However, his senior début came only on 10 August 2007 in the away 1-1 draw with Haarlem. Three weeks later, on 31 August, Etiënne fired his first goal, which turned out to be the winner in the away 1-0 victory over Velsen side Telstar.
In May 2010, the Dutch footballer drew the attention of Scottish side Falkirk, but he rejected the offer of the club and stayed in the Netherlands. On 30 January 2011, the defender sealed a deal with AZ till 30 June 2014. Reijnen continues to wear number 6 shirt and performs as a centre back for the new club. He made his début for Alkmaar Zaanstreek on 13 August 2011 in the Eredivisie fixture with Twente and celebrated a 2-0 victory. The player made 13 appearances for the club during a half of the season, but did not manage to find the net.
