Fabiano Ribeiro de Freitas is a goalkeeper of Porto. He was born on 29 February 1988 in Mundo Novo, Brazil.
Fabiano emerged through different Brazilian football academies but he spent the last stage of his youth career in Rio Branco, where he was trained from 2003 to 2006.
At the beginning of 2007 the footballer was offered to join São Paulo. Fabiano agreed signing a contract with this top-rank Brazilian side. During two seasons with São Paulo he made only one appearance.
In 2009 São Paulo management decided to send the keeper on loan to give him a chance to get into the starting eleven, where he could receive playing time. The half of the 2009/2010 season Fabiano spent in Toledo Work where he took part in several games. In January 2010 he completed a move to Santo André where he played until the summer 2010 making several appearances as a first-choice goalkeeper.
In the summer 2010 Fabiano penned a loan contract with another Brazilian club América-RN, where he played as a first-choice keeper 7 times for half a year. In January 2011 he was loaned to Grêmio Prudente where he finished the 2010/2011 season playing several games as a first-choice goalkeeper.
In 2011 Fabiano caught the eye of the Portuguese side Olhanense which made him an advantageous offer. In the summer 2011 Fabiano sealed a deal with Olhanense. The 2011/2012 season was a success for the Brazilian goalkeeper because he took a regular place between the posts during virtually all the season.
In May 2012 Fabiano committed his future to Porto penning a four-year contract.
