Fabien Lemoine is a French footballer playing as a midfielder for AS Saint-Étienne.
He started to play football in 1993 representing local clubs. Then he went to the youth department of a club Fougère and only a year later he joined the Rennes youth system. In 2007/08 Fabien was promoted to club’s senior squad. His first appearance for the side came on January 13, 2008 as he was included in the starting eleven for the match against Marseille and spent 77 minutes on the pitch until being replaced by Olivier Thomert. During the whole season he struggled to prove his first team regalia and his team reached the 6th place thus qualifying for the Intertoto Cup kick-off stage by the end of that season.
Lemoine made his debut in Europe on July 19, 2008. He was named one of those to start the first match of the Club’s Intertoto Cup campaign and Fabien played the full 90 minutes in that match. The footballer together with Rennes reached the Coup de France final in the season 2008/09 however this game was lost to Guingamp. Rennes took the 7th position on the league table of that season. A season later they finished 9th.
Lemoine was still playing for Rennes in the 2010/11 campaign when they took an eventual 6th place. By this time he gained 105 appearances for the side scoring once. However in 2011 Fabien moved to Saint-Étienne where the player took the pitch only 4 times throughout the whole season.
Lemoine played his only match for the national U-21 team of France against Slovenia. In that game he was substituted right after the first half.
