A Brazilian footballer Fábio Aurélio Rodrigues plays for Grêmio. Rodrigues was born on 24 September 1979.
Fábio Aurélio started his career in 1997, after grabbing a contract with São Paulo. He didn’t become the head coach’s first choice, but, nevertheless, managed to produce a good performance using every possibility to reveal his potential. He appeared in 54 matches netting 3 goals during the three-year spell.
In 2000, Rodrigues earned a transfer to the European club Valencia. The footballer hoped to get more playing time and his hopes came true. During the spell, he was frequently used both as a substitute player and as the team’s starter. In total, he racked up 11 goals in 96 matches for the Spanish club.
In 2006, Fábio ended the Valencia spell with the Liverpool move. The club would be delighted to have a left back of his caliber, so they offered him attempting contract, which suited the footballer perfectly. He immediately clinched into the main eleven debuting for the new club on 13 August in a match against Chelsea. Altogether, Rodrigues racked up three goals in 87 matches for the team.
In 2012, Aurélio signed a contract with Grêmio.
In 1999, Rodrigues earned his first invitation to play for the Brazil U-23 team. He netted one goal in 13 matches.
