A Brazilian footballer Fábio Ferreira da Silva plays as a defender for Criciúma. Ferreira was born on 23 October 1984 in Campina Grande.
In 2003, Fábio was accepted to the academy of Corinthians and his career started off. In 2004, he was ready to perform at a higher level and the club’s management offered him a professional contract. The defender grabbed the contract and established himself in the starting squad. In 2005, Ferreira got his first title in the Brazilian Série A. In 2006, a loan spell at Noroeste followed. The defender made 17 appearances and was loaned out by Juventude. In 2007, the player returned to Corinthians, where he remained until the end of 2008. In total, he appeared 47 times and scored 1 goal for the squad.
In 2009, he had a brief spell at Grêmio. The same year, Ferreira joined Vitória. In 2010, a contract was penned with Botafogo. The move proved to be a success, as further honours followed. In 2010, the club became the champion of the Campeonato Carioca and the holder of the Taça Guanabara. Ferreira together with the team was also awarded with the Taça Rio two times (in 2010 and 2012).
In 2013 the player switched to Criciúma.
