Fabio Quagliarella was born on 31 January 1983. His first professional club was Torino F.C. The footballer was loaned out twice: first time to ACF Fiorentina during its stay in Serie C, second time to S.S. Chieti Calcio. During 6 years at Torino Fabio Quagliarella appeared in only 5 matches.
Quagliarella’s nomading through various Italian clubs continued as he was loaned out again to Udinese where he scored 8 goals.
In 2007 Udinese purchased Quagliarella’s contract and the forward netted another 12 goals for the club.
During his rich playing career Fabio played for practically every Italian youth team. In 2008 he played his debut match for the Azzurri against Scotland. The striker was included in the Italian national team’s roster for Euro 2008 in Switzerland and Austria.
In June 2009 Fabio Quagliarella signed a 5-year contract with Napoli. In 34 appearances for the new club Fabio scored 11 goals and caught an eye of the top European clubs.
In August 2010 Quagliarella was loaned out to Juventus. He then said that Juventus is a great and famed club and that he considers himself lucky to be able to play at Old Lady’s side. In September 2010 the striker scored his first goal for the new club.
During four years with Juventus Quagliarella made 101 appearances, netted 30 goals and won three Scudetto championships.
In the summer 2014 the 31-year old moved to Torino.
Fabio Quagliarella played at 2010 World Cup. In the fateful match against Slovakia he minimized the rival’s lead in injury time but it didn’t help Italy as they lost 2-3 and failed to make it to the playoffs.
