Felix Klaus is a German midfielder of Freiburg. He was born on 13 September 1992 in Osnabrück.
Felix is a son of the former Bundesliga player Fred Klaus. He was born when his father signed a contract with the local VfL Osnabrück. Felix began climbing the football Olympus in the junior ranks of SV Bösensell. From 1997 to 2006 Klaus had several spells at SC Weismain, SCW Obermain and 1. FC Lichtenfels. Then the footballer joined the youth system of Sp Vgg Greuther Fürth where he trained until 2010.
In 2009 Felix became part of the club’s reserve team. His senior debut came on 6 November 2010 in an away match versus MSV Duisburg when the footballer entered the game as a sub in the 88th minute. Klaus scored his first Bundesliga goal on 23 January 2011 in the game against FC Union Berlin.
In 2013 Felix was invited to Freiburg.
During the rest of the season Felix played in the starting line-up. He was also named “Player of the year” and spent one more fruitful season. In the match versus FC Ingolstadt 04 the midfielder managed to fire a goal in the 16th second. Klaus was capped for the Germany U-17, U-18 and U-19 national squads.
