Felix Kroos was born on 12 March 1991 in Greifswald, Germany. The footballer is capable of playing at both the attacking midfielder and forward positions.
Felix is a son of Birgit Kroos, the winner of the German National Badminton Championships. Moreover, his brother, Toni Kroos, is a professional footballer. Felix’s father, Roland, was a Hansa Rostock manager, which actually predetermined the young player and his brother’s future.
Before entering his father’s club in 2002, Felix trained at the youth team of Greifswalder SV 04. Together with his brother, the footballer had spent 6 years with the Hansa Rostock youth system until they were included in the reserve team. The two brothers had played for some time together, before their paths diverged. Toni was signed by Bayern Munich, and Felix was promoted to the main squad of Hansa Rostock. During one season in the starting line-up, he managed to appear in 27 matches, and then was invited to SV Werder Bremen. On 15 June 2010 Kroos penned a three-year contract with the Green-Whites. The player was first sent to the reserve team, where he delivered 10 goals in 46 games. On 24 November 2010 Felix made his first team debut against Tottenham Hotspur during the UEFA Champions League.
Kroos was repeatedly called up for the Germany national youth teams of all levels, starting from the U-16 squad, but unlike his brother, he hasn’t been invited to the senior team yet.
