A Brazilian footballer Fellype Gabriel de Melo e Silva plays as a midfielder for Al Sharjah. He was born on 6 December 1985 in Rio de Janeiro.
In 2005, Fellype graduated from Flamengo’s academy to the senior squad and his professional career began. The same year, he was called up 5 times for the Brazil U-20 team. Together with the squad he won the Chile Octogonal Tournament. His brilliant start at the international level was spoilt by the injury, which prevented the midfielder from playing during the next year. As a result, Fellype lost his place in the national squad.
In 2007, Silva had a brief spell at Cruzeiro and the same year he agreed on temporary deal with Nacional. Whilst playing for the temporary squad, the midfielder managed an impressive performance, featuring in 14 matches and netting 2 times. In 2008, a loan was served to Portuguesa. Fellype quickly established himself in the starting squad and after the contract was extended he spent another fortunate year with the club.
In 2010, Gabriel opted to move to Japan, where he played for Kashima Antlers during the season. He made 45 appearances and scored three goals for the Japanese side. In 2012, the footballer returned to his motherland, where a new, one-year contract was penned with Botafogo. Once it was completed Gabriel joined a club from UAE, Al Sharjah.
