Ferhat Kaplan. Biography

Ferhat Kaplan was born on 7 January 1989 in İzmir, Turkey. Since childhood he was keen on football and in 2000 he joined Metaspor football school. From 2005 till 2006 he starred for Dardanelspor youth team.

Later Ferhat was promoted to Dardanelspor senior team. On 26 November 2006 he made his team debut in the match against Oyak Renaultspor. Most of the time he spent with the reserve; however, at the beginning of the 2008/09 season Kaplan joined the major squad. From 2006 till 2011 he made 99 total appearances for the club.

When the contract with Dardanelspor had expired in 2011 the player switched to Gençlerbirliği S.K. Since the first season at the new club he has occupied the position of the third goalkeeper right after Ramazan Köse and Özkan Karabulut. The player’s transfer fee is €100,000.
