Fernando Alexandre is a midfielder born on 2 August 1985 in Lourinhã, Portugal.
In 1999 Fernando began his junior career with Lourinhanense, where he played for a year. In 2000 Alexandre continued his football formation at the youth academy of Benfica, Lisbon, where he spent 4 years training hard to start his professional career.
In 2004 the footballer signed his first professional agreement with Benfica as he was the product of its academy. After a year in Benfica, in 2005 he was sent to its reserve team, where he spent the 2005/2006 season scoring once in 27 matches. In the summer 2006 the management of Benfica decided to loan Alexandre to Olivais Moscavide for the 2006/2007 season. During his spell with the temporary team the midfielder made only 4 appearances and scored 1 goal.
In 2007 Benfica sold Alexandre to Mafra, where the Portuguese footballer spent a year. The 2007/2008 season did a lot of good to the midfielder because he got into the starting line-up 34 times kicking 7 goals. In the summer 2008 Fernando joined another Portuguese club Estrela Amadora, where he featured in 29 matches for one season.
In 2009 the midfielder moved to Braga which plays in the Primeira Liga. The footballer was immediately loaned to Leixões where he spent a season taking part in 22 matches. In the summer 2010 Alexandre committed his future to Olhanense. After three years with the club Alexandre moved to Academica.
