Fernando Martín Forestieri is a striker of Watford on loan from Udinese. He was born on 15 January 1990 in Rosario, Argentina.
Fernando’s career took off in Newell's Old Boys in 2003, when the footballer was 13. The same year, Forestieri was sold to Boca Juniors.
In January 2006, the striker penned a five-year contract with Genoa and took part in several friendly matches. Fernando’s senior début came on 8 November 2006.
In 2007, the footballer helped his team to clinch the International Viareggio trophy and completed a move to Siena, which signed him in a co-ownership bid. Forestieri’s first Serie A appearance came on 26 September, but the club had to wait for his first goal till 13 January 2008. In June the same year, Genoa bought the entirety of the striker’s transfer rights.
In January 2009, Fernando went on loan to Vicenza and netted five goals in 19 games for the team during his spell.
From July 2009 till August 2012, the footballer performed on loan at Málaga, Empoli and Bari. On 31 August 2012, Forestieri sealed a temporary deal with English side Watford.
The striker was capped 26 times and contributed nine goals for the Italy national U-17, U-19, U-20 and U-21 squads.
