Fernando Lewis is a forward of AZ. He was born on 31 January 1991 in The Hague, Netherlands.
Fernando’s career took off in the youth team of Ajax, but he soon moved to the academy of AZ and quickly started to develop his skills, which helped him to reach success and join the main team of the club. The footballer took number 40 shirt and began to actively get ready for his début senior season. The right forward made his first professional appearance, coming on as a substitute for Roy Beerens in the Europa League match on 20 October 2011. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Fernando made four appearances for the club (including two league appearances) and did not manage to find the net. However, only one match ended in a loss.
The footballer’s international début came on 1 September 2011, when he was called up to the Netherlands U-19 team for the friendly against England. His first goal came two months later, on 12 November, when his squad encountered Finland and won 2-0.
