Fernando Marqués is a midfielder for Parma. He was born on 4 December 1984 in Madrid, Spain.
Marqués’ professional career started in 2001, after he signed for Rayo Vallecano. During his debut 2001/02 season Fernando played for Rayo B team. The next year though Marqués was made regular at the first team, with 35 appearances and 2 goals by 2004.
After a good start at Rayo the midfielder continued his career at Racing Santander, where he was a substitute for 2 years. From 2005 to 2007 Marqués played on loan for Atlético Madrid with a total of 36 appearances and 6 goals for B team and 9 appearances for the first team.
In 2006 Marqués was sent on loan to Castellón where he made mere 1 appearance during the 2006/07 season. In 2007 the Spanish midfielder signed for Iraklis on a 2-year contract and scored 1 goal in 29 appearances for the club. In 2009 Fernando joined Espanyol and netted 1 goal in 21 matches for the club. In 2010 Marqués moved to Italy to play for his current Parma. At present Fernando regularly plays for the club with 17 appearances and 1 goal so far.
In 2003 Marqués was capped for Spain U20.
