Fernando Reges is a midfielder, born on 25 July 1987 in Alto Paraíso, Brazil.
Fernando Reges is a product of Vila Nova´s youth system where he spent two years. In 2005 he started his professional career signing a contract with this club. In the 2005/2006 season Reges appeared in the starting line-up and was sometimes used as a substitute. The head coach trusted the young footballer paying close attention to his progress. In the second season Reges also delivered solid performances taking part in many games. From 2005 to 2007 Fernando Reges scored 3 goals in 57 matches for Vila Nova.
In 2007 Reges signed a contract with Porto and moved to Portugal. Instead of joining the first team the footballer was immediately loaned to Estrela Amadora which played in the Portuguese second division. The 2007/2008 season was a success for Reges who featured in 26 matches netting once for his temporary club.
After returning from loan Reges often got into the starting eleven because the head coach had confidence in his abilities.
In 2014 Fernando was spotted by English giants Manchester City and lured to Etihad.
In 2007 Fernando Reges was selected to the Brazil U-20 team however he didn’t leave the bench.
