Filip Đuričić is a midfielder of Benfica. He was born on 30 January 1992 in Obrenovac, Serbia.
Filip’s youth career took off in local Red Star Belgrade. The footballer trained in the academy of the club and performed for one of youth teams. In 2007 Olympiakos scouts visited the training ground in Serbia and won Đuričić over to their youth system.
Filip was bought for a further resale and could be sold if a tempting bid was lodged for him. That was very likely, because the player was rather talented and quickly developed, thus raising his own transfer cost.
In 2008 Đuričić’s services were secured by Radnički Obrenovac, where the footballer made 15 appearances and fired three goals during the 2008/2009 season.
In 2010 the young midfielder sealed a three-year deal with Dutch side Heerenveen, which performs in the Eredivisie. Filip featured in 100 matches and found the net 20 times during three years with the Dutch club.
In May Heerenveen received a €6m offer for the Serbian from Portuguese giants Benfica and let him go. In 2014 Djuricic was loaned to Mainz 05.
From 2007 till 2009, the player was capped for the Serbia national U-17 team. In 2009 he made six appearances for the U-19 squad. From 2010, Đuričić has taken part in 12 games and contributed one goal for the U-21 team. In 2012 the footballer received his first call-up to the full national squad.
