Filip Kiss is a midfielder of Cardiff City. He was born on 13 October 1990 in Dunajská Streda, Slovakia.
Filip’s youth career took off in Slovak side Inter Bratislava, where the footballer got ready for a professional start. In 2008, he penned his first professional contract with the club, but failed to come on the pitch during his début season.
In 2009, Kiss transferred to Petržalka, where he got an opportunity to show his talent and skills due to clinching a spot in the starting XI. The midfielder made 25 appearances and netted four goals for the team during one year.
In 2010, Filip sealed a deal with Slovan Bratislava and managed to become one of anchor players at once. The footballer took part in 30 fixtures and fired six goals before completing a loan move to Welsh side Cardiff City, where he featured in 26 goals during his spell. After Kiss’s contract expired, the management of the temporary club decided to secure his services on permanent basis. The midfielder made two appearances for ‘The Bluebirds’ as of January 2013.
From 2008 till 2009, Filip took part in 11 matches and found the net two times for the Slovakia national U-19 squad. From 2010, the footballer has been capped 19 times and contributed one goal for the full national team.
