Filip Kurto is a goalkeeper of Roda JC. He was born on 14 June 1991 in Olsztyn, Poland.
Filip began to play football at the age of seven, when he joined local OKS 1945 Olsztyn. The player trained with the club during eight years before completing a move to Warmia Olsztyn in 2006. However, Kurto spent only one year there and entered the academy of Promień Opalenica, where he was offered to pen a senior contract in 2008. The keeper made 13 appearances for the III Liga side club in the first half of the 2008/2009 season.
In December 2008, Filip was invited to Wisła Kraków. The footballer accepted the invitation, but was sent to the youth team at first. However, three months later, Kurto clinched a place in the full squad and sealed a three-year deal with the club. The keeper’s Ekstraklasa début came on 10 September 2010 in the away 2-1 loss to Jagiellonia Białystok. Filip took part in 48 fixtures for Wisła Kraków (including youth team appearances) during five years.
In June 2012, the player sealed a two-year deal with Dutch side Roda JC.
On 24 March 2009, Kurto was called up to the Poland national U-18 team for the game versus Portugal. From 2009 till 2011, the goalkeeper was capped 16 times for the national U-19, U-20 and U-21 squads.
