Flávio Ferreira is a midfielder of Malaga. He was born on 19 October 1991 in Nogueira do Cravo, Portugal.
Ferreira started his junior career in 2005 when he joined the academy of Oliveira Hospital. During one year he got trained in football every day and practised his skills taking part in matches with the youth team of the academy. The scouts of Académica visited one of such games and immediately payed the attention to Flávio. In 2006 he was invited to a try-out where he came virtually right away. After delivering solid performance during the exhibition match and passing all the fitness tests with success, Ferreira officially joined the academy of the Portuguese side. During three years, from 2006 to 2009, the midfielder was getting ready to start playing football at a professional level.
In 2009 Ferreira penned the first agreement in his career with Académica. In the same year Flávio was sent on loan to Tourizense where he spent one year. The first experience of playing football at a professional level was a success for the player because he earned a place in the starting eleven 19 times and managed to kick 3 goals. In the summer 2010 Ferreira was loaned again, this time to Covilhã where he spent a season taking part in 22 matches for his temporary team.
After returning from loan, Flávio started the 2011/2012 season with Académica. During the year he got into the started XI quite often making 19 appearances overall which was a very good result for the young footballer.
In the summer 2013 Ferreira completed a move to Spanish Malaga.
