Flávio Alex Valêncio, commonly known as Flavinho, is a Brazilian footballer currently playing as an attacking midfielder for Neftchi Baku in the Azerbaijan Premier League. He was born on 27 July 1983 in Jardim, Brazil.
At his early days, Flávio played for a Brazilian lower league side CENE. In between 2003 and 2009, he changed a number of clubs such as South Korean Seongnam and Brazilian teams Araçatuba, Paraná Clube, Mineiros, Gama, Ulbra. In 2009, Valêncio joined Grêmio Barueri. He made a total of 65 appearances during a three-year stint at the club.
In 2010, Flavinho signed for Neftchi Baku. That was Neftchi where Flavinho revealed his full potential scoring 24 goals in 57 matches in all competitions for Azerbaijani club during the first two seasons. His terrific performances led the team to two consecutive Premier League titles in 2011 and 2012.
