A French footballer Florian Thauvin was born on January 26, 1993 in Orléans.
The first club Florian Thauvin played for was Ingre. As a youth-team player he performed for Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle FCO, Orléans US and Grenoble. It was Grenoble that became the transition phase between youth and adult career. Florian Thauvin made his debut as a professional footballer in 2011.
Before the season of 2011/2012 he joined the Ligue 2 club Bastia FC. He appeared in 11 matches in the season and achieved the promotion to the top league of French football – Ligue 1.
At the beginning of 2013 his contract was bought out by Lille for about 3 million Euros. However, the player stayed with Bastia until the end of the season on loan terms.
In the summer 2013 Thauvin completed a move to Olympique Marseille.
