Fousseni Diawara is a French-born Malian defender currently playing for Tours.
Fousseni began his professional career as a midfielder at Red Star in 1996, but soon he changed his position on the pitch due to Élie Baup.
In 2000, Diawara joined AS Saint-Étienne and played his first game with club against Rennes in September. After three successful seasons at the club, he was loaned for a season to Stade Laval and then, in 2007, to Sochaux. Excludibg the loan pells, Diawara made a total of 119 appearances for AS Saint-Étienne.
In 2008, in the last day of the transfer window, the footballer signed a contract with the Greek football club Panionios where he played only in 8 matches for the season.
But after his contracts expired in 2009, the player signed a contract with FC Istres for one year. In the following season the defender joined AC Ajaccio and played 70 matches for the club.
In the summer 2013 Diawara switched for Tours, competing in Ligue 2.
