Francisco Portillo Soler is a Spanish footballer who plays for Málaga CF as a midfielder.
He spent the start of his career playing for Málaga B. After 3 seasons with 80 appearances and 5 goals he got a chance to start for the main squad and made his first appearance in the pre-season of 2009 when he was given a ‘Man of the Match’ award after a game against Aston Villa in the Peace Cup on July 25.
He played his first game in the Primera on January 24, 2010 having substituted the injured Patrick Mtiliga on the 74th minute of the game when Málaga encountered Real Madrid. The footballer prolonged his contract on August 10 penning a deal which linked him up with the club till June of 2013.
After summer signing of Joaquín Sánchez in 2011 Portillo was relegated in his status not even making it to the club’s entry for a game. His first appearance in the league happened on April 9, 2012 when he played the closing 8 minutes in a victorious match against Racing Santander.
