Franco Zuculini was born in 1990 in La Rioja, Argentina.
He started his senior career in Racing Club, where he used to play in his youth. Zuculini made the first appearance in April 2008 and during the Apertura in 2008 he proved himself as a regular starter.
In June 2009, Franco Zuculini moved to the German club 1899 Hoffenheim and in September he made his Bundesliga debut in the match against VfL Bochum. During the 2009/10 season he couldn’t become a starter and appeared only in 7 Bundesliga games, starting only two of them. In 2010 he was loaned to Genoa FC and in January 2011 he moved to Racing Club, where he played for the reminder of the season.
The following team Zuculini played for was Real Zaragoza. He moved to Spain and had a season-long loan with the Andalusian side before he completed a permanent move in 2012. However, in the summer 2013 Zuculini was released from the club.
Half a year later Zuculini joined Arsenal de Sarandi.
Zuculini was a part of the national Under-17 and Under-20 levels. He represented Argentina at the 2009 South American Youth Championship and made his senior debut in May 2009.
