Frank Fielding is a goalkeeper of Bristol City. He was born on 4 April 1988 in Blackburn, England.
Fielding made his professional start in 2007, when he graduated from the academy of Blackburn Rovers and penned a senior four-year contract with the club. The footballer was immediately sent on loan to Wycombe Wanderers, because there was no place for him in the main squad, but he had to gain performing experience in order to help his team one day.
Fielding sealed a six-month loan deal with Wycombe and made 15 appearances for the club during his spell, which was extended for another half a year due to the keeper’s steady display. Frank continued his excellent performance and took part in 21 fixtures for ‘The Chairboys’ during his second span. From 2008 till 2011, the footballer played on loan at various English teams, including Northampton Town, Rochdale, Leeds United and Derby County. Fielding spent the whole season with the latter and impressed the management of the team.
After the keeper’s temporary contract expired, ‘The Rams’ decided to secure his services on permanent basis. In 2011, Frank moved to the new club, put pen to paper of a contract and officially became a player of Derby County. The footballer featured in 76 games for the team until June 2013 when he switched for Bristol City.
From 2006 till 2011, Fielding was capped 14 times for the England national U-19 and U-21 squads.
