Frank van der Struijk is a centre back of Vitesse. He was born on 28 March 1985 in Boxtel, Netherlands.
Frank’s youth career took off in LSV Lennisheuvel, from where he moved to Willem II. In 2003 van der Struijk made his first appearance for the main team of the club and added 108 appearances to his tally during five following seasons. The back managed to find the net five times for Willem II before he transferred to Dutch side Vitesse in 2008. Frank clinched a place in the first squad of the new club and featured in 88 matches. In 2010 he was sent on loan back to his previous team and made 11 appearances.
In 2007 van der Struijk received his first call up to the Netherlands national U-21 squad for the 2007 European U-21 Championship and was capped one time. The team managed to qualify for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
