Fredrik Stenman plays as a left back at Club Brugge. He was born on 2 June 1983 in Munktorp, Sweden.
Fredrik commenced his senior career at Västerås SK in 1999. He earned 28 appearances for the club before joining IF Elfsborg. Stenman’s Allsvenskan debut came on 7 April 2002 in the match versus AIK. In the summer of 2003, the Swede completed a move to Djurgårdens IF. The defender quickly became a regular name on the team sheet, appearing in all league matches during the 2004/05 season. In 2005 Fredrik won Allsvenskan and the Swedish Cup.
In November 2005 Bayer Leverkusen paid 800 thousand euro for Stenman, but the footballer was unable to withstand competition in the team fighting for a regular spot in the starting line-up. For two years with Bayer, Fredrik featured in 28 matches.
Being a free agent, on 23 March 2011 the player penned a contract with Club Brugge where he currently plays.
Moreover, Stenman competed for the Sweden U-21 team. On 25 May 2006 he was selected for the senior side of the national squad of Sweden.
