Gabriel Agbonlahor is a striker of Aston Villa. He was born on 13 October 1986 in Birmingham, England.
In 1994 Gabriel joined the academy of Aston Villa and started to perform for the U-11 team, where he stayed for some time before preparing himself for a move to the older team. During 11 years from 1994 till 2005, Agbonlahor was groomed in the youth system of the club and participated in various junior competitions with various youth squads.
In 2005 the footballer matched all criteria for making a professional start. Gabriel penned a senior contract with Aston Villa, where he performs up till now. The same year the striker went on loan to Watford and made two appearances for the temporary team. Later Agbonlahor completed a move on loan to Sheffield Wednesday, where he featured in eight games.
After returning from loan in 2006, Gabriel never left the club, where he plays nowadays. The footballer managed to gain the head coach’s confidence by scoring, supporting attacks and making assists. From 2006, when the striker’s last loan spell ended, Agbonlahor took part in more than 200 games and amassed more than 50 goals for ‘Villans’.
From 2006 till 2009, the footballer made 16 appearances and contributed five goals for the England national U-21 team. From 2008 till 2009, Gabriel was capped three times for the full national squad.
