Gaël Danic plays as a midfielder for Lyon. He was born on 19 November 1981 in Vannes, France.
The player’s youth career developed at Rennes football academy where over a long period of time a young midfielder studied and featured with the club’s youth team squad.
In 2000 Gaël agreed to a three-year contract with Rennes. From 2000 till 2003 he periodically participated in club matches and made only 22 total appearances in 2 years.
In 2002 Danic was loaned to EA Guingamp for which he appeared in 18 matches during the 2002/03 season.
In 2003 the player moved to Grenoble Foot 38 with which he signed a professional contract until 2005. For two seasons he was a key player of the major squad scoring 14 goals in 69 appearances for the club.
In 2005 Gaël earned a contract with Troyes AC which he represented for three years. In three seasons from 2005 till 2008 the player featured in 81 matches and netted 10 goals.
In 2008 Danic switched to Ligue 1 club Valenciennes for which he currently plays. The player has become an integral member of the team and the head coach has always entrusted him the place in the starting lineup.
After five years with Valenciennes Danic completed a move to Lyon in the summer 2013.
