Gary Dicker is a midfielder, born on 31 July 1986 in Dublin, Ireland.
In 2004, Gary penned his first professional contract and became a senior player of UCD AFC, where he made 69 appearances and netted five goals during two years and a half. Those years were really fruitful for the footballer, because his wonderful skills and superb vision of the field impressed the head coach, who let Dicker on the pitch almost in every game.
In January 2007, English side Birmingham City decided to see the midfielder in action and secured Gary’s services on a six-month loan. The management wanted to assess the footballer and consider his transfer on permanent basis, but the Irishman failed to take part in any fixtures during his spell.
In the summer 2007, Dicker completed a move to English side Stockport County, where he became more confident and raised the level of his performance. The midfielder featured in 48 games for the new club during two years and was sent on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2009. Gary made nine appearances and found the net one time for the temporary team during his spell. In the summer 2009, Brighton & Hove Albion secured the footballer’s services on permanent basis and put pen to paper of a long-term contract. Dicker became a regular of the squad and fired five goals in 129 fixtures for the club during four seasons.
In 2013 Dicker completed a move to Rochdale and later on joined Crawley.
In the summer 2014 Dicker moved to Carlisle United.
From 2005 till 2006, the midfielder was capped six times for the Republic of Ireland national U-19 and U-21 teams.
