A Spanish professional footballer Gaspar Gálvez Burgos performs as a defender for Córdoba CF. Gaspar was born on 7 July 1979 in Córdoba, Andalusia.
Burgos started his playing career at the academy of Séneca, but within some time the young defender was scouted by Atlético Madrid, where his junior career ended. In 1997, Gaspar appeared for the first time for the senior squad. He was chosen for the B team, where he spent the next three years making 31 appearances. He debuted for the main side of Atlético Madrid in 1998, but continued playing for the reserves. Altogether, the defender appeared 36 times for the club’s first squad.
In 2001, Gaspar had a short stint at Oviedo. He made 18 appearances for the team. In the summer 2001, the defender was bought out by Valladolid. Burgos spent two seasons defending the colors of the club. Altogether, he made 36 appearances.
The 2003/2004 season would find Gaspar playing for his boyhood club Atlético Madrid. He quickly established himself as a footballer of the first XI and the season was lined with 27 appearances made. In the summer 2004, Burgos opted to join Albacete, after the club offered him a tempting proposal. The defender spent the 2004/2005 season netting one goal in 25 matches for the team.
From 2005 to 2008, Gaspar represented the main squad of Alavés. He proved to be a talented player and very soon turned into the team’s pivot of the defense. The stint was lined with one goal scored in 80 games. In the summer 2008, Burgos joined Córdoba CF from the second level. He’s made more than 90 appearances for the Spanish club.
From 1998 to 2000, Gaspar Burgos featured in five matches for the Spain national youth team at U-18 and U-21 levels.
