Geoffrey Castillion is a striker of Heracles Almelo on loan from Ajax. He was born on 25 May 1991 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The footballer has a dual citizenship – Dutch and Surinamese.
Geoffrey’s career took off in several local youth clubs, where the footballer perfected his skills by participating in KNVB Cup matches. After the tournament, Castillion drew the attention of various Eredivisie teams, including capital side Ajax.
The striker joined the academy of ‘de Godenzonen’ and started to perform for the youth squad of the club, but soon managed to impress the head coach and received an invitation to play for the senior team. Geoffrey made his professional début on 20 March 2011 in the away 3-2 loss to ADO Den Haag. On 6 May 2011, Ajax extended the footballer’s contract till 31 June 2013.
At the end of June 2011, the management decided to send Castillion on a season-long loan to RKC Waalwijk. The striker’s first appearance for the club came on 13 August 2011 in the away match against PSV. One week later, on 19 August, Geoffrey netted his first goal in the 2-0 victory over Roda JC.
In the summer 2012, the footballer sealed a loan deal with Heracles.
Castillion was capped eight times and contributed two goals for the Netherlands national U-18 and U-19 teams.
