George Boyd is a winger of Hull City. He was born on 2 October 1985 in Chatham, England.
In 2000, George joined the academy of Charlton Athletic, but spent only one year there before completing a move to the youth system of Stevenage Borough, where he stayed during one year as well. In 2002, the footballer penned his first professional contract with the club and gained the manager’s confidence in no time, which helped him to amass 23 goals in 109 fixtures for Stevenage during five years.
In 2007, Boyd drew the attention of various English teams, but Peterborough United was the first to offer the winger a lucrative contract. George accepted the offer and soon became a regular, but lost his spot in the starting line-up in 2010 and went on loan to Nottingham Forest, where he featured in six games and fired one goal during his spell.
After returning to his parent club, the footballer clinched a place in the starting XI and took his tally to 64 goals in 263 matches. In May 2013 the Scott moved to Hull City, recently promoted to the Premier League.
From 2005 till 2006, Boyd took part in six games and chipped in one goal for England C. In 2009, he was capped one time and contributed one goal for Scotland B.
