Georgi Sarmov is a Bulgarian midfielder born on 7 September 1985 in Burgas, Bulgaria.
He has been into football since childhood. Georgi played in the youth system of Naftex Burgas before joining the first team of the club in 2004. His debut for the club took place in a match against Cherno More in Varna on 1 May 2004. From the end of 2006 to the beginning of 2010 Georgi featured for Bulgarian side Levski Sofia amassing 7 goals in 80 appearances. He was an instrumental player for the club during his debut season helping the team to win the Bulgarian Cup and Bulgarian Supercup in 2007. Sarmov was named the Champion of Bulgaria twice, in 2007 and 2009. In May 2010, Sarmov signed a five-year contract with Kasımpaşa. In 2013 though, he returned back home to Plovdiv.
Georgi is capped to the Bulgaria national team since 2008. He made his international debut in a friendly match against Finland on 26 March 2008.
