Georgi Schennikov is a young left back who defends the colours of CSKA Moscow. He was born on April 27, 1991 in Moscow, Soviet Union.
In his teenage years Georgi trained at CSKA football school. In 2007 he joined the reserves of CSKA. Schennikov registered 30 appearances for the reserve squad, showing brilliant performance. On 6 August 2008 Georgi celebrated his first-team debut in the Russian Cup match between CSKA and Torpedo Vladimir. In 2009 he established himself in the main squad, regularly appearing on the pitch until May 2011, when a severe injury ruled him out for six months.
In 2009 Schennikov was named the best young footballer in the Russian Premier League. He was also nominated for the 2011 Golden Boy awards.
Schennikov won a call-up to the Russia U21 squad for the 2011 European Under-21 Championship qualification. From 2009 to 2012 he won 17 international caps and netted a goal for the Russia U21 team. On 15 August 2012 he debuted on the senior international level in the friendly between Russia and Côte d’Ivoire.
